Chewy is being run to the ground due to poor management. They hired from outside the company. The new manager treat employees like they are less than human .

Working at chewy taught me well worth skills that I can carry on with me forever.

This company is a great place to work for and it pays well also, and the people their make you feel like your family.And make sure you get the skills need to get the Job finish.

Dead end job.

The pros can be only working 8hrs The cons. To many. The main one all will disagree with is. You can not. I repeat you can not have your phone on the work floor. And THEY WILL MAKE you go through a metal detector to make sure you don’t have a phone or ANY electrical device.

Great support and culture. All positive experiences. Could get a bit more pay but otherwise great company. Change is always happening and can be hard to get use to

Productive and not a fun place to work

Prior to working at chewy I spent 20 years in management for home depot. I would never recommend Working for this company. I've experienced harassment And talk down to by management. There is no position that I would recommend with this company

Short breaks, healthcare is horrible, can't go to the restrooms without management questions about 4 minutes down time.

Great place for career growth

Whether applying to higher positions within or moving on, Chewy is a good place to develop new skills if you put in the effort. Their time off policies are a little too strict for my liking, they should at least accept doctors notes, but it is what it is. And the co-workers are top-tier. You can't find better co-workers.

Fantastic place to work

Once you learn the basics of a call center environment, it’s a great place to work. PTO and UTO available as soon as you start and can use whenever you want, even the middle of your shift. Benefits are great and work life balance is great as well. If you love animals and want to help pet parents, this is the place for you.

Excellent place to work.

The balance between work life and outside life can be difficult depending on the schedule you have. Also chewy does not really promote form inside like they say they do.

Ride around on scooter, they help train you to become a forklift driver. Two 30 minutes breaks. Closed on some holidays with only 8 hours of pay. Each work day is a 10 hour shift.

pay isn’t very good

pay isn’t very good and it’s pretty hard work if you end up in singles pack or the docks, If you can get on a reach truck immediately that is probably your best bet for decent pay

Buddy buddy system

The system seems to be set up with who you are set up with. I worked for the company for almost 9 months. The System is set up for you to just be another number working for Chewy. Not enjoyable when you have a strong board of good reviews from customers and top FCR rating in all your classes, and they do not promote you. The HR and director are all buddy buddy with a lot of the co workers and if your not on the good list then you don't promote.

At times productive and at times fun place

Had a good time working here, made lots of friends. Plenty of room for advancement. They were trying to make it ran like Amazon though. If I lived back in the area I would apply again

Dysfunctional management at its worst

Don't trust Chewy to honor special accomidations that your doctor reccomends. If you go in with a doctor's note and the Chewy paperwork expect a lot of buck passing at best. Do not expect cooperation, or for them to call you back again.

Good company for the most part

Company takes great care of its customers, but employees are another story. A lot of gossip amongst leadership with little growth and development opportunities.

For the majority, customer always calling "where's my package"?

Chewy is great. I was not too fond of the new system they integrated for the employees to request PTO & UTO. Daily meetings are great and you get daily insights.

10/10 wouldn’t recommend

Overall an easy job. But they don’t care, about anything or anyone, but the numbers. Just your typical self centered management team. And no matter how many times you “report to an AM or HR” to “assist you” with any issues, they act like they care, and it’s barely a good act.

Nice coworkers but management can be irritable

Company works purely off business needs which is a understandable method, but 90% of the time you as a employee will feel as the company doesn't care about you or your outside life.

Good benefits

Great job, great company and would recommend to anyone. Dont take what customers say personally and you will be just fine. Most customers are very sweet. a lot of room for growth

Don’t work here

Terrible benefits and high school drama. Don’t work here. Leads don’t know how to talk to people and Safety doesn’t exist. Very rude grown adults too.

Numbers Game. Typical call center.

Don’t let the title “ pharmacy technician “ fool you. You are a call center clone who has to meet hourly quota of data entry for prescription labels. Time, breaks, lunch are scrutinized to the minute. Expected to arrive at 750 for an 800 shift so you can be logged in and ready. Managers are the only ones to play the games they set up during events. Overstimulated environment and help does not come fast. Cube farm. Stressful with meeting quotas.

Good place for a young person to start a career

I had plan on being at chewy for at least 5 years but the packages on a continuous basis was wearing me out. Packages of 40lbs for a 10 hour shift too much for me arms was hurting.
