This is a unique opportunity to join a high growth business unit whose mission is to design breakthrough DC-DC power solutions for the burgeoning Cloud and Artificial Intelligence systems. We are looking for an experienced Applications leader who is passionate about building strong teams, winning in the marketplace, and who has the confidence to build something from the ground up. This role serves as the primary technical management point of contact with our customers, as well as being the front-line leader that works with customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

This critical role reports to the VP & General Manager of the Multiphase controller and Power Stages Business unit.

Responsibilities

Support worldwide customers for Intel, AMD, ASIC core power design in AI, server, networking equipment, desktop, and notebook PC power applications
Expertise in Intel SVID, AMD SVI3 and AVSBUS specifications and test plans
Grow, mentor, and develop an applications team to support customers from recommending power solution to customers, core power schematics design, schematics and layout review, board bring up, core power optimization, test plan execution.
Organize and direct the development of all evaluation boards for the BU, such as customer evaluation boards, reference designs, field team training and product promotion activities.
Enable FAE teams worldwide with training, design tools, reference designs, simulation models and other technical materials to allow them to successfully design-in and support Cloud and Compute solutions as independently as possible.
Work closely with the design engineering, product engineering, and marketing to define next generation VR solutions and power stages
Understand details of the application use case including where additional product attach can be harvested.
Analyzes markets and key Stakeholder positions for immerging application trends to drive innovation in future product offering.
Manage and optimize the utilization of highly technical applications engineering resources

Requirements :

BS or MS degree in Electronics, Power Electronics; Proven experience in power electronics area in particular DC/DC converters

Self-motivated manager able to manage their team's expected deliverables to meet BU timelines
